Speaker Info + Resources

Hey friend! I’m so excited to team up with you to pull off something that’s going to be absolutely incredible.

What is the Clay Earring Maker Summit?

The Clay Earring Maker Summit is a 3-day, free virtual event that will help polymer clay earring makers learn how to create beautiful clay earrings as well as teach them how to grow their clay earring business.

Basically it’s one big, fun virtual clay earring making party!

On this page, you’ll find resources meant to make your life as a speaker as easy as possible and answer any questions you have. If you run into a question I didn’t answer, email me at hello@ClayEarringMakerSummit.com

Below is all the info and a list of benefits you will receive for participating in the summit!

You can take a peek at the in-progress registration page here.

You can see who taught at our 2024 summit here.

RESULTS FROM OUR 2024 SUMMIT:

Reach:

  • Total attendees registered for our very first summit in 2024: 2,977

  • Total VIP All Access Passes sold: 657

Affiliates:

  • We paid out almost $8,000 USD to our speakers from our very first event.

Exposure:

  • Visibility among the entire Clay Earring Maker Summit audience, attendee Facebook group, plus exposure to the audiences of all speakers.

  • Speakers reported adding hundreds of new subscribers to their email list.

  • Speakers reported an increase in their follwers on social media, specifially on Instagram and Youtube.

  • Speakers reported increase in their Patreon memberships and additional sales of their digital products like courses or clay color recipes.

  • Speakers also reported an increase in their sales of clay tools/cutters.

Overall, our very first Clay Earring Maker Summit in 2024 had an incredible impact on clay earring makers, many who picked up clay for the very first time as well as inspiring many experienced makers to start creating again.

It was also a huge success for our speakers as mentioned above and we expect to have an even larger attendance at our 2025 Summit.

QUICK ACCESS LINKS:

How it’ll all work:

Let’s do a quick rundown of how this online event will work. *Please note many links are not yet active but will be soon!

  • This is my second time hosting this summit and the first one was incredibly impactful for attendees and speakers.

  • The summit will run from April 22nd-24th, 2025 with pre-recorded presentations/workshops running each day (Tues -Thurs). **You’ll see me reference “presentations”, “workshops”, and “tutorials'“ throughout the summit, please note these are all the same thing.

  • The event itself is free for attendees as I want this event to be accessible to everyone. The presentations are free for only 24 hours once they go “live” each day at 10:00am CST. This gives everyone a chance to watch them, take notes, etc. Those who want to re-watch the presentations (plus get extra bonuses) will purchase the VIP All-Access Pass. VIP All-Access Pass holders will have access to the presentations for 12 months so they can view them at their own pace.

  • Tutorials will be about 15-30 minutes of teaching (with up to a 2-3 minute freebie or paid offer pitch at the end) and an optional live Q&A in the attendee Facebook group.

  • While the tutorials themselves are pre-recorded, all speakers are asked to interact with attendees in the attendee Facebook group during the day of their presentation if possible. If you can’t, no big deal.

  • Along with the presentations, there will be a Facebook group for attendees to have fun in, hold each other accountable, and ask questions. If you’d like to go live in the Facebook group to connect with attendees, let me know.

Benefits of Speaking at the Summit

Grow Your Audience And Email List

We all know that growing our communities and email lists is key to success! By participating in The Clay Earring Maker Summit, you will automatically get traffic from myself and everyone promoting the event.

You also have the option to pitch a freebie during your tutorial as a “free download” to grow your email list that way.

Easy Affiliate Income

  • The VIP All-Access Pass is how you will earn affiliate income from the summit and I expect it to sell very well as it did last year.

  • Every speaker affiliate will earn 40-50% commission off each VIP Access Pass they sell using their affiliate links from their Thrivecart Affiliate Dashboard.

    • 40% for all speakers

    • 50% for speakers contributing something to the VIP Pass

  • Leading up to the summit, we'll have three weeks of promotion. (I'll start promoting to my audience the week before that leading up until the summit so I can monitor all the tech running behind the scenes). You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy! I'll even have a suggested posting/sending schedule for you to make promo easy to outsource to an assistant.

  • The VIP All Access Pass will include:

  • Ongoing access to all tutorials/presentations

  • Bonus contributions from myself and speakers/sponsors

  • Networking Sessions - VIP All-Access Pass members will be assigned to small groups where they can network, form relationships and hold each other accountable. (I’m still figuring out the details on how/if this will work).

  • More to come!

Grow Relationships And Network With Fellow Makers

Polymer clay makers and entrepreneurs are some of the most fun people to collaborate with! You will meet new friends and open the door for new collaborations to mutually grow your brands! Our last event was a massive success, and a couple of collaborations have grown out of it.

Tutorial / Presentation ideas:

To make this event successful, our goal is to make it user-friendly for all skill levels - especially beginners! To achieve maximum diversity, we plan to include a range of tutorials for both beginners and those who are more advanced.

Our attendees last year had only been working with polymer clay for less than a year but we also received a lot of requests for more advanced technique tutorials at our 2025 event.

Two speakers CAN teach the same technique or tutorial using the same mediums as the design will mostly likely be very different.

You can also simply teach how to create a specific pair of earrings and use multiple topics in your session. (A simple project making tutorial.)

I want all speakers to teach something they are passionate about and you’re not limited to the ideas below.

Tutorial / Presentation ideas:

  • a project tutorial: simply show step-by-step how to create a specific pair of earrings.

  • How to make knotted studs

  • How to make a checkerboard/gingham pattern

  • ribbon cell technique

Here’s a look at past summit projects/tutorials:

You can also get a more detailed look at past tutorials and speakers on this schedule page from 2024.

What I’ll need from you:

So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? Let’s chat about it! My goal is to make this all as easy as humanly possible so we can all have a blast while providing great value and growing our businesses.

1. BASIC INFORMATION

The first thing I’ll need is some very basic information from you so I can finish up our registration page and Speakers page.

This information includes things like:

  • Name / Title

  • Workshop/Presentation Title (this can be changed later)

  • Bio

  • Headshot (Square + Horizontal Version)

Once you give me the thumbs up that you’re in, I’ll send you a link where you can upload all this information easily.

2. PRESENTATION/TUTORIAL

Next up is your tutorial/presentation! This is a 20-30  minute pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured. We want our attendees to learn and gain confidence in their polymer clay journey while having fun in the process. If it eases your mind, you’re not required to show your face in your tutorials!

**Please record your presentation/tutorial in widescreen. (not vertical)

Please structure your tutorial/content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they've really learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they're missing something that they need to buy from you asap.

Here's the suggested format:

  • A quick introduction of who you are (this can be with you on camera or a voice-over with a headshot and image of the project)

  • An overview of your topic and the supplies you used

  • A step-by-step explanation of making the earrings/technique from start to finish (you can film this overhead with a DSRL or use your Smart Phone)

  • Up to a 3-minute pitch for a product or your freebies to collect leads

  • Two square high-resolution images to show off your craft in our promo materials

Here is a full example of one of my speaker pages from the last summit and a video explanation.

With that being said, you have your choice of the following presentation formats:

  • Slides (Slides would probably work best for teaching business focused lessons) - Google slides work great for this!

  • Tutorials/Demonstrations with you talking as you’re giving the tutorial. Using your phone to record your tutorial is perfect! Be sure to record in horizontal format. No need for extra fancy video equipment. Be sure you can easily hear your voice in the tutorial!

  • No slides - just you’re face talking. (This might work well for business focused lessons)

No matter what format you choose, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like in the future. I would ask that you not post your full presentation on your free social media channels for at least 6 months as this will diminish the value of the VIP All-Access Pass.

Presentations are due by March 27th, 2025. You can use this form to submit your presentation.

Find a PDF download with all this information here.

3. SUPPLY LIST (if applicable)

We will be providing attendees with a list of all supplies, tools, and products used in each presentation/tutorial.

You’ll include this information when you send over your presentation. There will be a spot on the form you’ll already be completing so it will be super easy for you.

Supply List information is due along with your presentation on March 27th, 2025.

4. Tutorial Photographs (if applicable)

Here’s a video showing why I need tutorial photos. Once you have these, feel free to email them over! The sooner I have them, the sooner we can begin creating promo graphics.

If you’re presenting a tutorial on how to do a specific clay earring making technique, you will need to provide at least 2 flat lay images of your finished product.  The more images you can provide the better.

Guidelines for images:

  • In focus and brightly lit

  • No watermarks

  • Aspect ratio 1:1 & 4:3 & Vertical format

These photographs will be used in the promotion of the summit and the VIP All-Access Pass.

The photographs are due by March 27th, 2024. This will give us time to create promo graphics prior to the promo start date. If you have them earlier, great! Send them on over!

5. CAPTURING LEADS

To ensure you will capture leads and grow your email list, we will post links to your website and social media on your presentation speaker page, which will capture leads that are genuinely interested in staying on your list rather than signing up just to get a template, then unsubscribing. Check out what this looks like here!

The 3-minute pitch at the end of your presentation is your golden opportunity and can be any of the following:

  1. Another product or course you wish to feature.

  2. A call-to-action to join your email list to get access to your freebies - allowing you to collect warm-leads

  3. A call to action to visit your site or a specific post that will convert to leads.

Whatever your choose to pitch at the end will be linked directly below your presentation, so our attendees can find you easily!

6. VIP ALL-ACCESS PASS CONTRIBUTION (OPTIONAL, BUT ENCOURAGED!)

To make our event even more valuable, I'll ask each of you to provide one resource that we will include in the VIP All Access Pass goodie bag.  This contribution will help you gain exposure for your products and email list!

This includes things like:

  • Templates

  • Workbooks

  • Courses (big or small)

  • 1-month free membership to your Patreon

  • eBooks

  • Clay Color Recipes

  • Trainings

  • Bonus Q+A Session at a later date

  • Bonus Tutorial or "Create Along with Me" Video

  • Digital Social Media Planner for Clay Earring Makers

  • Exclusive Coupon code for % off in your shop

  • Digital Journal for Clay Earring Makers

  • Checklists

  • Behind the scenes video of how you organize your workspace

  • A mini-course

  • Printables

Note: I expect this to convert well so I do not recommend contributing any 1:1 offers. If you’re not sure what resource to contribute, feel free to email me at hello@ClayEarringMakerSummit and we can come up with an idea together.

It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate to boost VIP All Access Pass sales which earns you more affiliate income! At the last summit, alomost every speaker contributed something and it was an incredible success.

Anyone who contributes a premium resource will get a 50% affiliate commission on sales of the VIP All-Access Pass, rather than 40%. It’s also an opportunity to collect hundreds of extra email addresses as attendees claim your offer.

Your premium resource should not be something you’re giving away free somewhere else. For example, free clay color recipes you’re already giving away on Instagram would not be a premium resource.

Information for these resources is due on March 27th, 2025. You'll receive a questionnaire to fill out closer to that time to make passing the information to me nice and simple.

7. PROMOTION

The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

Because of that, everyone is encouraged to share on social media and to email their lists during the promotion period, starting on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025. (I will begin promoting the event on April 4th) This gives me a few days to test a small audience and make sure the registration page is working, emails are automatically being sent out and ensure there are no tech issues before you begin sending thousands of people to the registration page.

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link (which you can set up here) so you can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any VIP All-Access Pass sales (50% if you've contributed a premium bonus).

You’ll find swipe copy and graphics in the Resource Vault below.

8. LOW-KEY PARTICIPATION

And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax!

But the more you put into the event, the more you will receive in return! Past speakers who saw the most return promoted to their email list at least 2-3x during the 3-week total promo/event period, plus posted regularly on social media. I’ll be giving you all the swipe copy and graphics to make it super easy for you!

All speakers will receive a free VIP Access Pass to enjoy!

Lastly, we ask that you pop in to check on the thread in the attendee Facebook group related to your presentation during the day that it’s live if you're available. Easy!

NOTE ON GIVEAWAYS

In the past, a few of our speakers and sponsors contributed a prize to give away during the event. If you are interested in doing a giveaway with a call-to-action to join your email list, social media, etc., we can arrange that for you! This gives your brand even more front-and-center attention during the summit. Giveaway items can be digital or physical prizes.

This year we will have a page on the summit website dedicated to giveaways where each brand will have their own opt-in for attendees to register for their giveaway with their email address. This is another excellent way to grow your email list even more.

If you wish to contribute, info for giveaways will be provided at the time of submitting workshop materials.

Affiliate Details:

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?

That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the VIP All-Access Pass where you’ll receive a commission from all sales from traffic you refer to the event. Payouts will be made by May 31st, 2025 at the very latest via PayPal.

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 40% for all speakers

  • 50% for all speakers who include a premium bonus for the VIP All-Access Pass

The pricing structure will be:

  • $39 for 30 minutes after initial registration (fast action)

  • $59 from April 8-21, 2025 (early bird)

  • $79 from April 22-24, 2025 (during summit special)

  • $99 from April 25-30, 2025

To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Resource Vault includes things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook ads.

Just remember to use your affiliate link, which you can create or look up here.

USE THIS LINK TO SIGN UP FOR YOUR AFFILIATE ACCOUNT.

USE THIS LINK TO SIGN IN AND TRACK YOUR AFFILIATE ACCOUNT.

**Be sure not to shorten your affiliate link as it may not track correctly if you alter it.

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.

Disclosure:  We may have non-speaker affiliates who may also be promoting the event to drive more attendees.  They will be compensated 30% or 35% (depending on if they decide to contribute a bonus or not.

We use a program called Thrivecart to track affiliate sales.

Resource Vault:

Now for those resources I promised to make your life as easy as possible.

If you run into problems accessing the folder or files, first be sure to try making a copy of the folder or file. If that isn’t working, send me an email. hello@clayearringmakersummit.com

*If you’re recording a video tutorial and need to add voiceover, a great tool to use is Filmora. Here’s a link to the website and here’s a link to my favorite YouTube tutorial.

Our past speakers have also simply used video editing software on their laptop or phones.
